260-drain Plugs

has anyone got the specs for the twin-350's for type size location and number of drain plugs?

does anyone sell a "kit" that has all you need or is it simply best to order the number you need?

any suggestions on best deals?

I have three of four styles and a couple of sizes in the pile I was left.  all the threads look like they were flattened out...I just don't like they way they look...and I need to get this Beast fired-up!

On my 260 I had one drain plug. It was a square head brass screw-in plug.
They are pretty standard and available at any boating store. The plug takes a square 1/2 inch reversed socket, or an adjustable wrench will work on it as well. Never overtighten them...

I sorry... these are the drain plugs used to winterize the engines...not the hull drain plug...

Oh...Ok sorry about the misinterpretation.

Drain plugs are usually at the bottom of the exhaust manifolds and there should be a petcock on the side of the block to drain that.
I usually remove the lower rad hose at the water pump and open the petcocks on the block and manifolds to drain all the water out.
Once that is done, I close the petcocks and replace the lower rad hose. then I take the upper rad hose from the "T" split on the thermostat and fill up the entire engine with coolant (Prestone) until it overflows on the top of the block at the thermostat housing.
