Trailer question
« on: July 18, 2015, 04:38:34 pm »
My CC-S260

Is sitting in GA with trailer issues.  I would like to get it home.

Is there anyone here in the Ringgold GA area that can help me get spindle measurements off my trailer so that I can order parts and get it home?

I live 4 hours away and just had back surgery, so getting there to get the measurements is a bit of an issue.

You should have no trouble if its a DEXTER type as they are very common spindles and axles, drums and hubs etc.
It depends on your trailer manufacturer

You should be able to get anything you need at any motorhome/trailer supply place too.

If you don't have one already, grab a cheap micrometer. You can get the length, O/D and I/D of the spindle and get the correct bearings too.

I managed to get most of my information from the bearings.  Since I had pulled two sets before I left.

There is no telling who the manufactures of the trailer or parts was.  This trailer may be older than I am.

I just need to verify that the Spindles are in good shape and order parts now.

Southwest wheel 's Prices are great, and the customer service has been awesome, so far.

Awesome!

Yes I did...sadly I had to put about $500-1000 in the trailer just to get it home.

I wore two brand new trailer tires out making a 4-1/2 trip but its here!

I will have to replace the axles or find someone that can do some work to the current setup.

I have located a set of triples (Rather has tandem) but waiting to see what the price tag will be.

Is your boat on the registry?
