strange findings while restaurating an excalibur
« on: November 13, 2014, 03:13:17 pm »
while repairing my excalibur i found several rare findings :
while sanding down the white gelcoat, there was an orange gelcoat, at the hull and interior of the boat
When i pulled out the cabin mirror i found extensive hull repairs in the nose section of my boat
In the cabin section while removing the carpet, everywhere i saw floating foam residue

Could it be that i have an US NAVY excalibur ?

I'm planning to remove the floor section, i think that the finding of an steel frame will give me certainty

Wow - that's really cool!  Would be great to confirm that yours was one of the drone boats.  Any pictures you can post?

I wonder if you take off the top paint on the hull if you can see a name underneath such as: http://chriscraftstingers.com/photos/Meteor/meteor%20-%20starboard.jpg
