Interesting read regarding the current owners of Chris-Craft:  http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2013/01/10/for-some-dead-brands-a-tortuous-path-to-resurrection/

I agree.
I have heard the story many times before but the detail there was interesting of the main players. I knew about Murry and OMC byt never the big-wigs.

They have good marketing tools and learned their lesson from Miami Vice I think? They gave boats to Hollywood to use in "Fools Gold" and of course they are georgeous boats!
I saw the new models at the boat show this past January and their design is outstanding! Very sexy boats and yes...they are pricey!
I look back at mine.....In 1985 my boat cost 127,654 USD. I bought a house for 30 grand so the boat was four houses!!! I could never afford it back then, but I am glad I own mine today.

I have been extremely brand loyal to CC over the last quarter century and have owned six in a row. Looking to buy my seventh,(if I find the right boat!) Looking at a 202 or 222 for a toy.
