Hi, Ive been lurking around here for a few years as a serious Stinger fan but have never posted.  Hopefully someone here can help me out on this boat.
 So my son has an opportunity to buy a boat that has changed hands several times up here in Ontario. It is an 86 314 with twin Mercury outboards. What I am curious about is the seller told my son they were Bridgeport motors. I recall plenty of  them running around here back in the day, but never on an offshore boat weighing 7000 lbs +.  Anyone have any insight as to how these high strung motors would hold up pushing a 31 foot Stinger @ 5-7k rpm ? I'm a BBC guy and have little to no experience with outboards. Also if this boat sounds familiar does anyone know why it cant seem to find a more permanent home ?
