I can't understand why he has to falsely claim that it was used in Miami Vice???

The original boat in the pilot was an 84' with no radar arch as the boat had to clear many low bridges during filming. Season one boat was the 85' 390X with the blue stripes.

Still it is a nice boat and looks to be well kept but I don't recocnize it from the TV show in any form.

Whenever I see a listing like that, I always assume the owner means that his/her 390X is the same 'model' of boat as used in Miami Vice.  I was able to find better pictures of the boat and it is one of the cleaner 390Xs I've seen, but it's not the exact one used in Miami Vice.
