Title: Outdrive ratios

what would my ratios be for an 80 model 260

Mercruiser  MC-1


1.5:1 or 1:94 or other?

There should be a tag on the lower unit that will tell you.

These are old and some mods have been done... I will look this week, but last "glance" revealed nothing.

Is a 260 paired with ALPHA-ONEs w/ 1:84 a common match-up?

I picked up the Alpha One ... I plan to use the lower case to replace the MC-1 case.

When I find another Alpha One I will replace both MC-1's with the Alphas.

I suppose I could run one Alpha and one MC ... but I am not sure how the Ratios would match up, as I can find nothing on any housing

thoughts, input, feelings?

Based off what I have found (despite what I was told by the owner) This should be a 1991(17 July) Alpha One - Gen One  1.50:1

Turns out to be a '90 model, not a '91.

one more drive and I will do an upgrade.
