Title: Exhaust Tips
Post by: 340mopar on September 14, 2015, 03:03:43 pm
I have seen different set-ups on the CC-S's but mine has two long tips on the out sides and short ones on the inside...
Thoughts?

They should be all even all the way across. The tubes should be cut the same length, maybe they got shoved deeper into the rubber tubes that connect to the manifolds?
The four tubes should be even and with the lower lip (tubes cut on an angle) on the bottom so the water runs out easily.

ok, mine may not fit the bill due to year (could be an odd ball) or may just have been changed somehow..

You should have "up-swept" manifolds and if so... tips should be above swim platform?????

I don't think the Tips were above til later on.

Mine is an 80 and I am sure even in 82 they were below ...

It is a 1987 Stinger "Scorpion" built in Penatanguisine Ontario Canada under licence from CC. It was a very rare boat and well built ( I beat the crap out of it)

Yes I own the 390x hull #120 of the build year. CC only built 201 units total that year. I own one of only 12 390x models built in Bradenden Florida
I owned both boats for three years and had them both in the water to play with but the 260 is now gone as I sold it.

I have seen a fair number of pics of your rides...

Both beautiful boats!  I so envy that 390!

Yeh...I waited twenty years till I found the perfect boat and then bought it at any cost so I had two boat loans out at the same time!

I'm that way right now with my search for a Ferrari. Looked at a lot of junk but skimming it down to a couple of choices.
