Title: Stinger 265 fuel tank depth?
Post by: Andrewr612 on May 03, 2014, 06:15:25 pm
Hi, does anybody know the depth in inches or mm of a Stinger 265 fuel tank? - i know it holds 511 litres but can't find any more info - I need it to calibrate my fuel sender (electronic) but can't get to the tank to measure it.

Thanks

On my 260, I was able to lift the teak flooring in the cockpit - it sits right on top of the fuel tank.  I seem to recall there was a screw off cap?  If so, you should be able to unscrew it and measure it.  My memory could be completely shot however.

Yep, there is a cap but its above the middle of the tank. Also there are other removable panels but the seats etc are screwed to them so major exercise to remove them...

If you remove that big circular access pot you should be able to get your hand in there to remove the sending unit. It's held on with 4 Phillips screws.
Good luck or get someone with tiny hands................
