Title: 1988 312 brass plaque

I've got a 1988 312 c/c fit and there is a brass plate next to the shift/throttle controls that is to corroded to read.i haven't tried to clean it for fear of  distroying it.
does any one know what this plate is?
I'm new to this site so i hope this is the correct place to post

Stingray - welcome to the website!  Do you happen to have a picture of the plaque that you can post?  The only times I've ever seen a plaque on a Stinger were the following:

the boat is in storage for the winter but i'm going to vist her this weekend. I'll try to get a pic of the plaque. I didn't see it in any of the pic's

OK, judging by your profile picture, it looks like you have a Fittipaldi - that's another beast!  Anyway, the best picture I could find is on this page:

The Fittipaldis were special versions of the Stingers, so I'm assuming it's a Fittipaldi plaque.  Sort of like Carroll Shelby puts them in his Shelby GTs.

Wow...if that is a Fittapaldi then you have a real jewel on your hands.
Congrats on the new boat and looking forward to seeing some pics in the spring after you get it out of storage.

by the way - had to laugh - second picture, bottom left - foot.  My wife does that all the time when she takes pictures - something about the toenail polish & toe ring makes her want to put her foot in a picture  :P
