Hello,
Is recently bought a chris craft 312 from 1988 with the omc king cobra engine package.
Now one of the upper outdrive gears is broken and now that i have taken out the upper gear i saw that my that my upper gear ratio is 21/16 and this sould be 21/17 with the omc 460's.
Is this bad or should i just leave the 21/16ratio and replace it ?
Thanks Rien

No offence intended but put a TRS on it or at least a bravo!
I had an OMC on my first Stinger and it was JUNK!!!!! Nothing but problems and not a fun summer at all !
All my other Stingers (I have had five) had TRS. If your running big blocks then you need the TRS with the Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions. Try to get a good used set and scrap that OMC.

thanks for the advice!
i will look into the trs en bravo one drives before ordering parts for the omc drives.

hey Rien
if you can get your hands on TRS, get them, for long transportation of your boat, they are essential. (easy build)
