I am new here looking to purchase a 222 Stinger soon. Does anyone know if the length of the hull is overall length with the platform, or just the running surface? What speeds with a 260 vs a big block do they run? Does the hull run flat with a big block or does it have a tendancy to porpoise with the extra weight? Thanks! Al

That boat should do a respectable 50-55 or so.
That is one hull that I have not personally owned but I know my 245 with a big block was crazy stupid! Could hardly sit in the seat it ounced so much! did not like that boat at all...
My 260 was much stabler but I figure the 222 should be about the same as the 245???

Welcome to the board! As far as I know, the 222 and 202 do not have separate swim platforms like the larger Stingers. They are part of the hull. I would assume the length includes it but not sure.

That makes sense...Since it is part of the hull...I really like the 222 for sale at M&M Boats in Maryland but not for 11K....its the old Blew Bayou boat...Looks like the motor has been modded by the pics...Does anyone know if the 202 came with a 260 in it? TX...Al...

Not sure if M&M boats would negotiate. Otherwise, there are a lot of 222s up for sale lately. Subscribe to the chriscraftstingers.com twitter channel to get updates as boats come up for sale - or watch the for sale forum.

Anyone with a 222 out there? Really lookin' for info on SB verses BB regarding balance and handling...If the BB effects handling adversely, I'd rather mod a 350. Al
